Unilever to challenge Mercury over pensions

UNILEVER is preparing to challenge Mercury Asset Management for compensation over £1 billion-worth of pension funds it claims were poorly invested.

The Anglo-Dutch food giant said Mercury fell short of agreed performance targets during 1997 and 1998.
