USA wheat gluten quotas knock back T&L
NEWS that US trade officials have imposed quotas on imports of wheat gluten from the European Union, led Tate & Lyle (T&L) to drop 11p to 499p.
Gluten is produced during the manufacture of starch and is sold by T&L as a by-product – reducing the cost of its starch operations.
