Vanguard in new Case combine range is due

LATEST addition to the Case range of combine harvesters is the CF80 – the first in a proposed three-model line-up. Due to be launched at the forthcoming Agritechnica exhibition in Hanover, the Cross-Flow 80 is powered by a 300hp six-cylinder engine and employs a hydrostatic transmission.

The machines threshing division comprises a four-drum system which provides a total concave area of 2.8sq m. Placed in line, with an ability to synchronise individual drum speeds, Case claims high throughputs even in tough conditions.

Throughput, says the company, is also enhanced by employing six straw-walkers, each having five steps to create a separation area of over 10sq m – the largest in the industry, it is claimed.

Grain tank capacity is rated at 9000 litres and the tank is equipped with a sample inspection hatch.

For the operator, Case has equipped the CF80 with a cab based on the design of those used on the Axial-Flow combines. It features a curved front screen to optimise header visibility, and controls ergonomically placed to maximise operator comfort.

Header sizes range from 6m to 7.8m and work in conjunction with a system which allows the header to float both laterally and axially.

Prices have yet to be announced.
