THIS years Royal Show and Great Yorkshire Show breed champion, Lee Hall Pierre, made the top price of 550gns at the Vendeen Sheep Societys show and sale.

Bred by the Vawdrey family from Shropshire and offeredby Keith Till, who runs the Sowerby flock at Thirsk, North Yorks, this 1995-born ramstood champion at the Carlislefixture and went to W N and J Briggs Castle Douglas.

AVERAGES: 13 ram lambs £253; eight shearling rams £206; three aged rams £456. (Harrison and Hetherington)
