COMPRESSION fittings used in applications such as irrigation systems need to withstand high pressures, says Plasflow, whose latest range of UPVC and PP couplings are designed to work up to 16 bar (235psi). Available in sizes and styles to suit thermoplastic pipes from 16mm-11cm outside diameter, the couplings can be fitted and removed quickly and easily and have an integral D-ring to ensure a water-tight seal under all operating conditions.

Prices range from £0.48p for a 16mm coupling to £44 for a 11cm unit (01142-514100).
