AFTER one year the joint venture between tyre manufacturers Pirelli and Trelleborg is starting to bear fruit.

Now trading as Trelleborg Wheel Systems, with its headquarters based near Rome, a series of new products have been planned for the coming year.

After the launch of the TM800 and TM 800 High Speed tyres comes the TM600, a new 85 Series tubeless tyre, which should be available within the next six months.

The new company also reports substantial investment, with £10m being used to increase production capacity and quality levels. Tyre production is 900 units a day, comprising 119 different sizes. Output is set to rise next year.

Turnover, at over £100m, is forecast for further growth.
