AGRICULTURAL AND MOBILE AIR-CONDITIONING (AMA)

BASED in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire, AMA is the leading UK company specialising in the design and production of air-conditioning kits for retro-fit installation to a full range of self-propelled agricultural machinery. Kits are produced to meet or exceed original manufacturers design parameters and are usually visually identical. Installation can be carried out by AMA mobile engineers or at most depots of the Burgess Group. AMA can also supply a full range of replacement parts for all types and makes of agricultural air-conditioning equipment.

ALBUTT

ALBUTT will be showing examples from its extensive range of attachments for agricultural use including buckets, manure forks and grabs, pallet fork carriages, bale grabs, bale spikes, root baskets and buck rakes. It will also be showing its new range of Shear grabs.

ALLMAN

ALLMAN will be showing the Spraymaster 1000 12m or 15m, the Farmer 400 and 600 tractor mounted hydraulic sprayer and the X15 Knapsack sprayer.

AMAZONE

AMAZONES commitment to innovative engineering has established the company as market leader in the field of fertiliser application. However, its expertise in precision application techniques extends to drills, for both arable and maize crops and sprayers.

ARMER

ARMER Machinery offers a comprehensive range for the sugar beet grower or contractor, including Armer Salmon 1, 2 and 3 row belt lifting, trailed sugar beet harvesters, including the new Armer Salmon ST3 tanker machine; Armer Edenhall 2 and 3 row Seven Series harvesters, walking shares or opel wheels; a complete range of cleaner loaders; HD120CLS with picking table and the HD120T with tumble-clean pre-cleaner; Armer monosem precision drills; Meca 2000 for sugar beet; NG Plus for maize and the newly launched MS for mini seeds.

BOMFORD TURNER

BOMFORD Turner will be displaying machines from its extensive range of agricultural equipment. Side arm mowers with reaches from 4.2m (14ft) to 8.3m (27ft 3in) ensure a machine to suit any application. In addition, there are in-line flails from the Bandit range, loaders from the rugged Farmlift and Powerlift series – plus tractor mounted and pedestrian operated sweepers.

BRICE BAKER

BRICE Baker will be exhibiting a range of grain dryers and augers, along with a conveyor and elevator display.

BROADWATER FARM MACHINERY

BROADWATER will be exhibiting its range of box rotators with hydraulic control lids.

BROWNS

BROWNS Agricultural Machinery will be showing the Yardmaster yard scraper, post hammers and log chop equipment.

CALOR

CALOR will be exhibiting its range of mobile heaters including the Avanti mobile gas heater. Burgess are approved sales agents at selected branches plus offer repair and service facilities.

CASE

CASE will be displaying the full range of tractors including the 4200 series, the new MX tractor and the CS range of machines. On display there will also be the Axial Flow combine harvester – plus the full range of financial services from Case Credit and a display of competitively priced genuine parts and accessories. Case will also have a conventional combine harvester on display.

CHERRY PRODUCTS

CHERRY Products will be showing the full range of bale handling equipment including forks and buckets.

CHILLTON

CHILLTON Agricultural Equipment will be exhibiting the full range of front loaders and implements, front linkage equipment and auger type feed buckets.

DALTONS

DALTONS will show its range of ear tags, identification systems and livestock equipment.

DOWDESWELL ENGINEERING

DOWDESWELL Engineering, Britains foremost manufacturer and supplier of ploughs and tillage equipment is exhibiting a selection of implements from its extensive product line-up. Representing the Dowdeswell plough range is a 100 series Delta-Furra fully-mounted, five-furrow reversible with manual furrow adjustment from 12 to 18in, suitable for tractors of up to 140hp. It will be shown alongside a 3m heavy-duty power harrow and a 70in Powavator/bed-former combination.

FAF

Farming and Agricultural Finance Limited (FAF) provides finance for all your needs. When it comes to agricultural finance, FAF have always been one step ahead in providing innovative and flexible solutions to meet the needs of all farmers and agri-businesses.

FARM FORCE

FARM Force manufactures a comprehensive range of front presses, front linkages. Drill-Mate cultivators, furrow presses and trailed presses. These products are all designed to enable the farmer to be more efficient, cost effective and to utilise the equipment he already has.

FERRAG

FERRAG supplies Kverneland Accord pneumatic grain drills from 2.5m to 9m wide, either solo or in combination, grain and fertiliser, precision drills for precision crops (vegetables, sugar beet, maize, beans, 1-45 rows), transplanters, pneumatic fertiliser spreaders and tractor coupling systems. Also Rau Agrotechnic cultivators, power harrows, rototillers, tined cultivators, straw and set aside incorporators and Rau sprayers (mounted, trailed, self propelled, demountable, air assisted and conventional, boom widths 10m-36m, tank sizes 400-3800 litres).

GARFORD FARM MACHINERY

GARFORD will be showing an inter-row cultivator for maize. The company manufactures sugar beet harvesters and cultivators and imports KLEINE equipment.

GRIMME

GRIMME supplies bedformers, bedtillers, stone and clod separators, planters, haulm cutters, harvesters and trailed box fillers.

GURNEY REEVE

GURNEY Reeve will be exhibiting its range of bucket brushes, contractor sweepers, Farmtrac sweepers and Syclone sweeper/collectors.

WILLIAM HACKETT CHAINS

WILLIAM Hackett Chains, originally established in 1892, sells a range of chain harrows. Six main types are available with 3 point mounting to the tractor, or trailed conventionally. The company also supplies forgings and chain products to OEM customers. Examples of trailed and mounted flexible tine harrows, forged and fabricated tractor and trailer components, chains and hardware items will be on show.

HARDI

HARDI is the main supplier of spraying machines to the Burgess Group. It offers a full range of tractor-mounted, trailed and self propelled sprayers.

IAE

IAE will be exhibiting its range of gates, cattle crushes and weighers.

ING

ING Farm Finance is a specialist in agricultural finance. Providing lease and purchase funding for new and used farm machinery; equipment; cars and commercial vehicles; fixed equipment eg parlours, grain stores etc; dairy livestock and milk quota.

KUBOTA

KUBOTA will be exhibiting its range of compact tractors – ideal for applications including agricultural and horticultural, with high power-to-weight ratio, clean burn diesel engine and manual or hydrostatic transmissions.

KUHN

KUHN Farm Machinery will display its range of ploughs, cultivators, power harrows and drills. Kuhn also offers fert spreaders and livestock feeding equipment.

KVERNELAND

KVERNELAND offers a comprehensive range of professional tillage, potato, livestock and grass harvesting machinery, including for Spring 98: drum and disc mowers and mower conditions with working widths up to 4m, toppers, tedders (up to 8m working width), single and twin rotor rakes, flywheel and cylinder chop forage harvesters, together with a range of mounted and trailed bale wrappers.

LAWRENCE EDWARDS

LAWRENCE Edwards will be showing its range of Quicke loaders, Supa Pac bale wrappers, bale handling equipment and accessories.

McCONNEL

MCCONNEL will be exhibiting a range of three point linkage power arms:

PA500EHP – 5.2m reach, power slew electric controls; 1.2m multicut flailhead and 54hp hydraulics for tough applications. Suitable for large scale farmers and contractors.

PA470 – 4.7m reach, parallel arm geometry, 1.2m Supercut Flailhead, semi independent hydraulics and cable controls. Aimed at small/medium size farmers looking to cut their own 1-2 year growth.

PA90 – 3.8m reach, semi independent hydraulic parallel arm geometry, cable controls, interchangeable 0.9m flailhead.

MARSHALLS

MARSHALLS will be exhibiting a selection of its trailers and tankers at the show.

MASTER FARM SERVICES

MASTER Farm Services will be showing Master Driers 2000 – the 98 range of mobile batch grain driers with capacities from 5-25 tons with specification alternatives to meet individual requirements. They incorporate the new Master dust extraction system which improves the environment around the drier and ensures better grain sample and bushel weight. Also the new Master straw distributor – for easy handling of livestock bedding. No cutting, no blowing, low power requirement.

MARSTON

MARSTON Agricultural Trailer Group produces an extensive range of agricultural and industrial equipment that is sold widely on the home and export markets. The company is also producing equipment for a major tractor manufacturer, a high percentage of which is for export. The company will be exhibiting its Marston AS Trailers – Salop Trailers, slurry tankers and manure spreaders at the show.

MATBRO

MATBRO will be exhibiting machines from its extensive product range. These include the recently-launched TS230, TS270 and TS290, together with the award winning TR200 and the flagship of the Matbro product range, the TR250-110, with its integrated climate- controlled cab.

NFU MUTUAL

NFU Mutual offers a new approach to finance: new and used machinery and tractor finance; flexible deposits and payments periods; larger project loans available over 10 years; loans for business and personal purposes; specialists in 4WD finance.

PARMITER

PJ PARMITER will be showing its castor feeder bedders, shear grabs, post drivers and yard scrapers. Its extensive range of farm machinery is designed round strength, ease of operation and reliability.

PAXTON

PAXTON is a leading manufacturer of plastic agricultural products. An ever-expanding product range includes a variety of drinking troughs with capacities ranging from 2.5 gallons to 450 gallons. Also available are feed troughs, sheep dips, storage tanks and wash troughs. Paxton also manufactures a selection of foot-rot baths including the award winning minimum solution footbath.

PIRELLI

PIRELLI launches its new 65 series agricultural tyre – the TM800 at the show. It has been designed to offer deep lug tractive ability and minimal soil compaction, on todays increasingly powerful tractors. An extra large tread and optimal profile gives an extra 45% footprint area over a standard equivalent tyre. On-road performance benefits from even wear, allowing increased hours life and minimal vibration levels.

RUTLAND

RUTLAND will show its full range of electric fencing products and accessories.

SAME DEUTZ FAHR

SAME DEUTZ FAHR will be displaying their range of tractors including the SAME Silver/Antares 110/130 and Titan ranges of tractors plus the Deutz Fahr combine harvester.

SHELBOURNE REYNOLDS

EQUIPMENT on show from Shelbourne Reynolds will include British-manufactured complete feed diet feeding and manure spreading machinery. The Powermix diet feeder has a vertical mixing auger and unique front reversible conveyor, enabling feed on either side and over barriers up to 1.4m. If its a muckspreader you need, the Powerspread gives an excellent spread pattern of all types of manure. Also available is a range of OSR harvesting equipment.

STANDEN

STANDEN Engineering will be exhibiting the Thyregod beet harvester and 6 row multivator.

STRIMECH

STRIMECH Engineering will be exhibiting its full range of attachments for handlers.

TEAGLE

TEAGLE Machinery produces a broad range of agricultural, horticultural and ground care equipment. The moving floor Tomahawk 808MF has been added to the market-leading Tomahawk range of bale shredders and silage feeders. The XT range of broadcasters is ideally suited to the needs of most livestock farmers, while the TD50 is designed for larger acreages and covers 12-24m bout widths. The Teagle range also includes pasture toppers, muck spreaders, concrete mixers, broadcaster trailed chassis and big bag lifters.

TONG

TONG specialises in the design and manufacture of potato and vegetable handling and grading equipment for growers and packers both at home and overseas.

TWOSE

TWOSE of Tiverton will be exhibiting its HF/21CB4 hydraulic folding roller with 6.3m working width and 22in Cambridge breaker rings (weight 3750kgs). Also the BH/87A round bale handler complete with roller tines for handling wrapped round silage bales, 402 rubber yardscraper with push-pull scraper and width adjustable from 6-7ft, and 455R flail hedgetrimmer with 4.6m reach, safety breakback and 1.2m flail head suitable for 55hp tractors.

VALMET

THE Valmet tractor range extends through sixteen models. In the lower horsepower class, the four new Valmet M100 (60-90hp) series tractors announced recently at Agritechnica go on display for the first time at the Burgess Show. Compact, mid-range 4-cylinder Valmet Mezzo machines run from 80 to 115hp while at the top of the line our 6-cylinder Mega tractors extend from 110-160/190hp and include the 8750 with Sigma Power.

VOTEX

VOTEX PT toppers are traditional wooden topped, steel GTs have overlapping blades giving a quality finish. Now available is a wide range of heavy duty flail mowers to meet all demands. Cutting widths range from 3ft 3in to 9ft..

WALTHAMBURY

WALTHAMBURY offers a full range of potato bagging, weighing and handling equipment.

WELGER

WELGER offers a complete range of balers, conventional, round and big square, suitable for hay, silage and straw. Welger balers are distributed by Lely (UK) Ltd. Lely also supplies an extensive range of grassland products, mowers, mower-conditioners, tedders and windrowers, the Supabowl twin disc fertiliser broadcaster, drills and power harrows.

WRIGHT RAIN

WRIGHT Rain Irrigations tried and trusted range of hosereel irrigators are the backbone of many UK irrigation systems. For 1998, the new Golden Rain 72m width boom, with host irrigator loading, joins the range of Wright Rain booms, rainguns, sprinklers and ancillary equipment.

YAMAHA

YAMAHA will be exhibiting its range of ATVs. Specialist ATV equipment manufactured by Logic will also be displayed, including trailers and carrying equipment.

AMALGAMATED PLASTICS

AMALGAMATED Plastics is the supplier of Silaflex, the first bale wrap to obtain the ADAS test mark. This well-known brand is noted for its high tack, UV resistance and superior stretch/recovery. Choose either 500mm or 750mm widths in black, white or green. Silaflex is recommended for use with leading wrapping machines. Part of the Macfarlane group since Feb 1997, Amalgamated Plastics Silaflex is complemented with wide sheeting, top covers and netting.

ANDREWS

ANDREWS will be exhibiting its lpg, oil and electric heaters in a range of sizes. There are 15 models from 3kW to 88kW, with direct and Indirect fired heaters to suit all applications – indoors and out. Also from the same stable via Burgess outlets are Andrews dehumidifiers and Sykes general purpose diesel pumps and electric submersible pumps.

BOSCH

BOSCH will be displaying their total range of high quality power tools for domestic and professional use. The range combines high quality precision design with versatile easy to operate functions – and come either battery or mains powered.

CLUSON

CLUSON will be showing its full range of re-chargeable portable lights and torches.

COUNTAX

COUNTAX garden tractors and ride-ons are Britains best selling ride-on mowers. Made for the British garden, they cut closer, leave a cleaner finish and collect completely, even in the wet. Countax now offers mulching tractors as well.

COUNTRYSIDE GARDEN MACHINERY COLLECTION

FROMENT

N J FROMENT & Co will be exhibiting the Froment Magnate tractor-drive generator. Froment generators are available in sizes from 10kVA to 70kVA, with a complete range of equipment for either the static installation or portable power packs.

This powerful self-propelled mower has a 48cm (19in) cutting width with a differential incorporated in the rear roller which leaves a banded finish and makes the Harrier ultra-manoeuvrable in tight spots.

KENNELPAK

KENNELPAK are suppliers of all listed cann ed petfoods and dry petfoods.

KEW

KEW Cleaning Systems supplies both industrial and domestic markets worldwide, offering hot and cold industrial and domestic power washers capable of tackling a range of cleaning jobs. The new 30CA compact machine is lightweight, easy to manoeuvre in 240V, 110V and 3 phase versions with up to 150-bar pressure of power. Hot water machines include the new 30HA compact, capable of operating at water temperatures up to 150C with durability and long life as standard.

M&M TIMBER

M&M TIMBER Co will be exhibiting Unipost products. Unipost is the name for quality and reliability in the supply of agricultural fencing. Unipost products are selected, machined round, dried and pressure impregnated with preservative to ensure long life. Uniposts are supplied in banded bundles of constant pack sizes for ease of handling. The Unipost range of scalloped post and rail is also available for those more prestigious fencing projects such as farm driveways and estate boundaries.

OLYMPIA Tools will be displaying a range of hand Tools. On show will be the range of roughneck sledges, mauls and axes all with yellow fibreglass handles. The shafts are unconditionally guaranteed. Also on show will be pliers, wrenches, hammers and screwdrivers. This will be an ideal opportunity to replace any tools and look out for the show specials.

PORTEK

PORTEK manufactures and distributes Scatterbird gas guns, Black Cat banger ropes, Cow Clog hoof blocks and other related agricultural products and will be launching two new products at the Burgess show – a new low cost, economical blob marker called the Foam-align which has been developed especially for fertiliser spreading and a new concept in bird scaring – the Skybird Rocket.

ROWLINSON GARDEN PRODUCTS

ROWLINSON Garden Products will be showing the new 98 range of Fiesta high top gas and portable barbecues, plus the new range of garden furniture at Burgess, including the new hardwood 5ft picnic table, the Regatta Nyatoh suite including two chairs, and a 4ft bench and the Bermuda teak set – chairs, 4ft bench and a table.

SGB YOUNGMAN

SGB Youngman will be showing the full range of ladders, loft ladders, trestles , stagings and steps.

SHARPES INTERNATIONAL SEEDS

SHARPES INTERNATIONAL SEEDS will show the range of Burgess mixtures, Sharpes Designer Amenity mixtures and Sharpes Monarch Agricultural mixtures.

SINGLETON FLINT

SINGLETONFLINT will display a full range of agricultural silage film, Visqueen polywrap, netwrap, twine and sundries.

SOREX

SPECIALIST AGRICULTURAL COLLEGES

RODBASTON College based in Penkridge, Staffordshire, Reaseheath College based in Nantwich, Cheshire, Warwickshire College and Harper Adams, Newport will be exhibiting their range of specialist agricultural and horticultural courses. Each college will have a stand to show their facilities, services and courses for 1998 and beyond.

SQUIRE

HENRY Squire & Sons valve lock is designed to secure gate valves and lever taps on most industrial or agricultural storage tanks. The lock consists of a powder-coated steel box which is placed over the gate valve enclosing it completely and secured with a Squire hi-security lock. As well as preventing vandalism, securing the tap mechanism in this way means it cannot be left on accidentally. Squire will also show its new Stronghold range and high strength MC4 chain and SS65 padlock set.

STIHL

STIHL sells chainsaws, brushcutters, hedgetrimmers, pressure washers, vacuum cleaners, blowers and Viking shredders through the Burgess Group. With the servicing facilities and loyalty to Stihl through training courses with Stihl over the years, Burgess is a good and reliable source for Stihl products.

TINSLEY

ELIZA TINSLEY & Co, leading manufacturer and supplier of flexible connectors and hardware, will be showing its extensive hardware range at the Burgess show. A quality and comprehensive selection of fencing hardware, door and gate furniture, trailer fittings and agricultural field gate hinges, along with details of the companys New Concept chain, rope and accessory merchandisers.

TRUE TEMPER

TRUE Temper will be showing the new range for 98 of farm and garden hand tools including the Classic Plus range of garden tools, the Darby range of agricultural tools, cutting tools and the Badger garden tools range.

UNITED AGRICULTURAL TWINES

UAT supplies Burgess with Novatex Unirec and Rekord Balenet. Novatex is the worlds largest manufacturer of bale net and is in the forefront of net wrap technology. Novatex netting for round balers has been tested by leading European manufacturers of round balers. Fully UV stabilised, offering guaranteed edge-to-edge coverage of silage, hay or straw bales.

WALSALL WHEELBARROWS

THE WALSALL Wheelbarrow Company is an established wheelbarrow manufacturer producing a wide range of quality wheelbarrows for Burgess. It offers a range of durable and versatile wheelbarrows, including painted, galvanised and polypropylene finishes.

WM IRONWORK

WM IRONWORK will be exhibiting its Ewe-turn rollover crate – the ultimate sheep turning crate. This crate has been designed to meet the ever greater demands for animal welfare that are now being placed on the farming industry. Its principle uses are foot trimming and docking, although the crate is equally useful for teeth and udder inspection, ear tattooing, injections and drenching. With this crate, back trouble can become a thing of the past and sheep husbandry will be one of the simplest jobs on the farm.

WYCOMBE INDUSTRIAL SAFETY

WYCOMBE Industrial Safety will be exhibiting its Moldex respiratory and hearing protection range. The hazards faced by people in agriculture are as diverse as the industry itself. COSH&#42 regulations require, if possible, removal of the hazard. Until that is achieved, or if it is not feasible, then the Pura-Mask range from Moldex can be relied upon to protect the individual.
