Wider cropper for veg root crops

NORFOLK-BASED Nicholson Machinery has developed a wider version of its existing vegetable root crop topper and tailer range with the launch of a 1.80m (6ft) wide bed model. Offering 12 to 14 tonne/hr throughputs, the Top Tail 1.8 machine employs twisted prism rollers and spring loaded smooth rollers which rotate against each other to process vegetables such as beetroot, onions and radishes. Equipped with an infinitely adjustable bed height for fine control of crop process, the Top Tail 1.8 is priced at £35,000 (01366-377458).
