THE journey from Wilts paid off for R D Horton and Sons who made top price of 1180gns for one of the 13 heifers offered from their Hinton herd at the Lancashire Holstein Breeders Club sale at Lancaster.

This Alpag Chief Mark Milkyway heifer was bought by A R and M E Dixon, Penrith. The 25 highest yielding heifers on offer, giving 30-40kg, averaged £817. (Norton and Brooksbank)
