A 70-YEAR-OLD woman who was run over by her husbands tractor on a Gloucestershire farm has died in hospital.

Jean Sarah Gallop of Tudor House, Oxlynch, Stonehouse, near Stroud, was helping to lay tarmac on land at Standish on Thursday (27 September).

The unattended tractor rolled down a slope and collided with her before stopping at the bottom of a bank where the couple were working.

Mrs Gallop was rushed into Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. She died on Tuesday (2 October).

Gloucester coroner David Gibbons has opened an inquest into her death and adjourned it until 13 December.

He was told that a post mortem examination by pathologist Dr Jeremy Uff found she died from multiple injuries.

The Health and Safety Executive is investigating the tragedy.
