Wot? No naked farmers?

THE Buy British Meat calendar, which shows nude Devon farmers with strategically-placed agricultural objects, features in The Express.

Writing her column in the paper, Jenni Murray asks why the calendar has received far less publicity than a similar stunt by the Womens Institute.

“Quite apart from the denial of female pleasure, theres a serious point to be considered here.

“Theres an inexplicable nervousness about the celebration or examination of the male.”

The calendars photographer, Nicola de Pulford, also a farmer, denied that the farmers jumped on the WI bandwagon.

She tells Ms Murray that the idea came independently and was conceived as a business venture following government advice to diversify.
