WTO considers banana regime
THE World Trade Organisation (WTO) has called a special meeting of its disputes settlement body on 6 May to adopt a WTO panel report condemning the European Unions banana import regime.
The EU decided last week not to appeal against the findings and said it would comply with the WTOs recommendations.
EU governments have asked the European Commission to draw up proposals by the end of May.
