CEREDIGION federation is hosting the 1997 Wales Field Day which at Tregaron mart, Ceredigion tomorrow (Apr 26). Finals of the fence erecting, car handling, farm maintenance and mechanical tasks, stockmen of the year contests and the club promotion challenge will take place from 9.30am.
• Bedfordshire YFCs county show and rally will be held at Home Farm, Silsoe, on Sat, May 17. Nine YFCs will take part in the traditional competitions; a main ring programme will commence at noon and include a grand parade of livestock, while more than 50 trade stands will offer farm and country shopping opportunities. Part of the money raised will go to St Johns at Moggerhanger and the Cygnet Wing at Bedford Hospital.
• Udny Junior Agricultural Club, Grampian, celebrates its 70th anniversary with a dinner and dance at the New Inn Hotel, Ellon on Fri, May2. Past members are welcome. Contact Dorothy Forman (01771-637436).
