Zeneca to build £35m Scots plant
By FWi staff
BRITISH agrochemical manufacturer Zeneca will spend £35 million building a new factory at its Grangemouth manufacturing site in Scotland.
The new plant, which will be built next to the existing plant, will enable the company to double the manufacturing capacity of azoxystrobin – the active ingredient from which the companys new fungicide Amistar is made from.
This latest project brings Zenecas total investment in Amistar production at Grangemouth to nearly £76 million. The plant is expected to be operational by spring next year.
