International exchange visitors from Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Canada and Tasmania were welcomed to Ulster by the Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor David Alderdice and the city council at a reception given for them and their host families at the City Hall. BRECKNOCK and Montgomery federations were joint winners of Wales YFC Festival of Sport. Ceredigion, which hosted this years festival, was placed third.
• Members of Dunstable YFC, Beds are preparing to celebrate their clubs 50th anniversary early next year and ask former members to contact Mrs Jean Fox (01525-210237) in order that they may be invited to an anniversary dinner.
• A mouse racing evening organised by Sparkford YFC, Somerset raised £800 for the Yeovil Hospital YUK appeal to improve facilities in the childrens ward.
• At the grand anniversary ball which Acle & District YFC, Norfolk, ran to celebrate the clubs 50th anniversary, an auction of promises and a tombola raised £1500 for the Neurofibromatosis Association.
