Sam Fairs from Hillfairs Farming was half way through the oilseed rape harvest in Suffolk.

Three hundred and fifty hectares of Winner and Recital oilseed rape was averaging 3.75t/ha. These yields were about the same as last year and he said the crop looked about average.

He was sure the quality would be ok, though the crop was a bit moist. He added: “We’re cutting at 10% moisture just because the weather won’t do any better.”
