New crop nutrition product combines amino acid and phosphate

A new crop nutrition product that combines arginine – nature’s most nitrogen-rich amino acid – with phosphate, aims to create stronger root systems and more consistent yields.

Global agtech company Arevo has launched Arginex, which feeds crops directly with a slow-release nutrition source that reduces leaching. 

The foliar spray has flexible use – applied to either seed, soil, or crop – with the aim of enhancing root hair length and root surface area.

Direct crop feed

Arginine carries a positive charge, so it binds to soil and reduces leaching and run-off risks, allowing the product to stay in the root zone where it is needed.

“Arevo is built on a molecular-level understanding of crop nutrition,” says Arevo chief executive Niklas Åström.
