He said: “I’m very pleased – yield was up and the quality was in line with last year.”

He’s now just starting to harvest his oilseed rape crop.

Currently it is coming in at 14% moisture content.

“It’s looking fine but it’s badly laid due to the strong winds three weeks ago.”

However, he did say that he’s had no problem with establishment.

“We really can’t complain, we’ve had an excellent start to the harvest.”
