Key label changes: OSR herbicide Crawler

This month’s Pesticide Watch article focuses on changes to key grassweed herbicide Crawler, with some minor crops lost from the label, along with a reduction in the total dose allowed in the season.

Vegetable growers will need to make note of significant alterations to fungicide product Nativo conditions of use, with leeks removed from the label, a reduction in maximum total dose and a new 12m non-reduction buffer zone.

Finally, popular cereal and oilseed rape fungicide Prosaro has also had changes to the dose and frequency of application to all crops on the label, with implications for Lerap calculations.

“Although only specialist crops have been lost off the label, which don’t represent a large share of carbetamide use, they are more options lost. With the change in total dose, ensure you are applying the correct rate of product to correspond with the label.”

“There are some major differences between the old and new MAPP numbers, so check the label before application. Growers should note the  12m buffer zone extends to 30m if you aren’t using 3* rated Lerap nozzles.”
