“Most crops are looking well. If we can get a good window of weather we should be ready at the beginning of next week (w/c 11 August),” he said. He had 200ha (500 acres) of Einstein, Humber, Zebedee and Claire to cut.
That would be followed in about a month’s time by the 80ha (200 acres) of Waggon and Westminster spring barley. “That’s looking a lot better than we expected,” he said. “It’s recovered remarkably well after the dry spell in the spring.”
