Last chance for FSS forms

CEREAL AND oilseed growers have been reminded that June 1 is the deadline to submit farm-saved seed declarations.

The returns can now be completed via the internet on the British Society of Plant Breeders website.

There will be a working demonstration of the online form at the BSPB stand at Cereals (within the HGCA area).

“We want to make the task of complying with the farm-saved seed rules as hassle-free as possible,” said BSPB‘s licensing and intellectual property manager Sue Wigzell.

“By following the simple, five-step process set out on the website, growers can register and submit their holding details and the area of farm-saved seed sown by variety.”

Payment is calculated automatically, and can be paid to BSPB by cheque or bank transfer.

The Cereals stand will give growers an opportunity to see the new online forms in action and discuss its merits with BSPB staff.
