Pesticides approvals

Changes to the pesticides approvals system for minor crops (including rye, triticale and durum wheat) mean that existing long-term arrangements for the extension of use (LTAEUs) are being replaced by Specific off-label approvals (SOLAs).

Growers of minor crops may only use pesticides under the SOLA scheme if they have a hard copy or direct electronic access to the SOLA.

The HGCA and Horticultural Development Council have produced a CD listing of the first batch of 800 SOLAs and copies have been sent to all HDC members.

HGCA will send copies to levy payers on request.

See for the full SOLA database.
