Shropshire farmer Guy Davies in Salop expects to finish cutting winter wheat by Saturday (August 20), despite forecast rain. Richmond, Consort and Robigus yielded 10t/ha which is the same as last year, he said.

The quality is good, and he is pleased with the bushel weight of 78kg/hl.

Caracas and Winner oilseed rape yielded 4.5t/ha at 12% moisture, which he is also pleased about as it is drier than last year.
