Pleasing results in Norfolk

Oilseed rape, barley and wheat harvest is well underway for Cliff Armsby and his son Jason near Kings Lynn, Norfolk.


Jason Armsby was quite pleased with Expert oilseed rape yields averaging 4 – 4.5t/ha, and up to 5t/ha in some areas.


Forty hectares of Pearl winter barley was pretty average at 6t/ha, but was of good malting quality with 1.5% nitrogen and 2% screening levels.


Forty hectares of Optic spring barley cut for a customer yielded 6.5t/ha with 1.6% nitrogen, which they were also pleased with.
