Royal Show 2008: All you need to know

The Royal Show is being held at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire from Thursday 3 – Sunday 6 July 2008.

The Show remains committed to promoting the best of British Farming providing an excellent day out for the whole family to enjoy.


It will include industry-led premier livestock and equine competitions, the Best of British food and drink and an action-packed programme of entertainment at The Grand Ring.

School Visits & Education Programme


The education programme aims to bring children in touch with farming and rural life. It is tailored to the needs of schools includes thematic trails, hands-on activities and guided tours.


What’s new at the show:


Energy & Sustainability Park – featuring Anaerobic Digestion, greener fuels such as bio-diesel and bio ethanol, non-food and energy crops and solar power.


Farmers’ Market, co-located by the food hall – where farmers will sell their own fresh, local and regional produce.


Horse riding


Alongside the Countryside Arena area is the new Game & Country Skills section. This includes demonstrations and advice on mole catching, game keeping & bow making from leading country organisations and craftsmen.


New “young handlers” competitions will also be taking place on Sunday 6th July as well as the usual impressive livestock classes.


Another key area of interest for Royal Show goers are the prestigious equine classes and competitions.

  • No Dogs, apart from assistance dogs will be permitted into the showground. Please do not bring your dogs and leave them in the car.
