South west: Early Trabant proves a good choice

Troy Stuart was pleased to have grown 40ha (100 acres) of early-ripened, undessicated Trabant, which had allowed him to harvest about a third of his oilseed rape at about 12% moisture.


“One field did 1.7t/acre, which is pleasing, and the other 1.47, which was pretty good, as it was off some difficult ground. We’ve been very lucky to miss the worst of the weather.”
