UAP expands N-planner service
AN UPGRADED online package for modelling fertiliser applications offers growers and advisors greater detail, United Agri Products (UAP) claim.
New additions to the N-planner package include programmes for the application of potassium, phosphate and sulphur fertilisers, plus additional cereal variety information.
The package can also be used to produce a nutrient management plan – worth two points per ha under the Entry Level Scheme, the firm said.
“It has been particularly useful in confirming the wide range of wheat crops coming out of the winter that have sufficient N-reserves in the soil and foliage to fuel early growth,” said UAP technical director, Chris Bean.
“Based on the model, growers have rightly held back on early nitrogen on most early emerging, well-advanced first wheats.”
The new system is available via the company‘s Web ASSET intranet site.
