Farm tenancy opportunities in Devon and Shropshire

Two farm business tenancies (FBTs) are available on a Devonshire dairy farm and a stock farm on the Shropshire/Cheshire border.
Larkbeare Court, a 180-acre dairy farm, offers an eight-year FBT near Whimple in east Devon, starting on 15 October 2014. The incoming tenant will have the opportunity to buy the farm’s 110-cow Holstein dairy herd, with an 8,500-litre average yield, while a three-bedroom cottage is for rent separately.
The land is Grade 3 and capable of growing forage crops (about 23 acres were cropped to maize this year) and providing good grazing.
Farm buildings include a 12:24 swingover herringbone parlour, covered collection yard and silage clamps, a self-contained slurry store and 150-cubicle shed.
Viewings are on 24 July and 5 August, with a tender deadline of 31 August. (Stags 01392 680 059)

Hollyhurst Farm was a dairy farm until its present owners introduced a beef suckler herd and established Moneypenny Meats, a boxed beef business.
The farm has a four-bedroom farmhouse, modern and traditional farm buildings and a converted barn with planning permission for a farm shop.
Agricultural buildings include a former dairy, bull pen, covered feed yard, two cubicle sheds, dutch barn, five-bay livestock shed and a 3,500gal underground dirty water tank.
The grassland has good road access to most of the parcels.
Viewings will be held on 31 July, only and tenders must be submitted by noon 15 August. (Halls 01743 450 700)
