£10k support for Dairy Event visitors

Exhibitors at September’s Dairy Event are being offered financial support worth a total of £10,000 to encourage key visitors from overseas.

Companies could claim up to £250 per head to subsidise the travel arrangements of potential buyers and trading partners.

The money is being offered by the International Agriculture and Technology Centre and the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers, who are putting on the event to be held at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry, on September 21 and 22.

Nick Everington, RABDF’s chief executive, said: “Dairy Event is becoming increasingly prominent on the international calendar as a premier business to business event within the dairy sector.

“This year we expect to meet delegates from more than 30 countries including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iran, Bulgaria, Russia, Poland and Finland.

“We are optimistic that our new offer will encourage UK based companies to welcome more overseas visitors which in turn will help them to increase their export business.”
