Yorkshire man seriously injured by grain auger

A man has suffered serious injuries to his arm after it became trapped in a grain auger on a farm in North Yorkshire.

The incident happened near Hornby, between Catterick Garrison and Bedale, on Sunday (23 September).

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service was called at around 10.30am and were able to free the farmer.

He was taken to hospital by Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
