CAP modulation – how EU countries compare

Key decisions on the rate of “inter-pillar transfer”, also known as “modulation”, are being announced this week by EU member states.
EU member states must communicate their rates to the European Commission no later than 31 December 2013.
DEFRA has revealed it has chosen to go for an intital rate of 12% in England, Scotland has gone for 9.5% and Wales for the full 15% allowed under EU rules.
