Deadline extended to request mid-tier CSS application pack

Farmers in England have been given a couple of extra weeks to request a mid-tier Countryside Stewardship Scheme (CSS) application pack.

The deadline for requests using the Rural Payments Agency’s online service has been extended from the end of June to 16 July.

However, the final deadline for submitting an application to the mid tier scheme remains 30 July.

Farmers are reminded that before they request an application pack they must make sure all their personal details, business details, permission levels and the land use recorded in the Rural Payments service are up to date.

The application pack will be emailed out only once – therefore it is important to make sure all the information in the pack is correct.

Farmers who have a very large number of land parcels (200 or more) must request their application pack by telephone (03000 200 301).

The option to request a paper or email application pack closed on 28 May 2021.

Farmers can also apply for one of the simplified Wildlife Offers using the Rural Payments online service until 30 July.
