Our Inputs Price Monitor is now even easier to use thanks to a new, streamlined online form.
The online survey allows farmers to share information on how much they are paying for basic inputs, such as red diesel and ammonium nitrate, on a strictly anonymous basis – and it only takes two minutes to complete.
This will build up into a valuable database, with Farmers Weekly publishing a snapshot of the results each week and the NFU producing a full analysis each month, with price ranges and regional breakdowns.
“The more farmers who get involved, the better the data will be,” says Farmers Weekly Business editor Ian Ashbridge. “So if you’ve not done so already, click here and take part in the survey.
“As well as providing a useful benchmark, the IPM could also become a useful negotiating tool.”
