Forward feed buying was shrewd move

Collective buying of feed has saved members of the AtlasFram Pig Group over £1m during the past two years.

The savings largely came about after many members took the group’s advice in 2007 and committed to buying wheat forward at £96/t, shortly before the price almost doubled; saving more than £80/t.
