Hammer to fall on six lots of bare acres
BUYERS LOOKING for bare land at auction in time for Christmas have a few options left to choose from.
Cumbrian and Lancs specialist Richard Turner & Son will be auctioning two parcels of land near Kendal on Dec 14.
The largest of the pair is 67 acres of accommodation land and a sheep house in a ringfence at Heights Farm, Ings, near Staveley in the Lake District National Park.
Entitlement to the historic single farm payment is not available and the guide price is 100,000.
A 19-acre field, again without entitlement, at The Helm, Oxenholme, is guided at 10,000.
A few days later, West Country agent Stags will be putting 60 acres at Cheriton Fitzpaine, near Crediton, Devon, under the hammer in two lots.
About 54 acres, which includes a general purpose building in the site of a former quarry, are priced at 120,000-130,000, while a six-acre pony paddock comes with a 15,000-20,000 tag.
Stags is also selling two blocks of woodland at the same sale. At Muddiford, near Barnstaple, both have views of Exmoor and will generate 53,785 under the Farm Woodland Premium Scheme, says the firm”s Alex Rew.
Ten acres including a two-acre site for a potential pony paddock are guided at 20,000-25,000 and 27 acres at 40,000.
