No price cut from dansco

DANSCO SUPPLIERS had something to celebrate over Christmas, after the Mozzarella maker cancelled planned milk price cuts. A cut of 0.45p/litre had been notified in November for action in January, but this decision has been overturned.

Suppliers were told in a letter that the cut had been rescinded “due to changes in staff”. In a move thought to be related, the company’s managing director David Neill has been fired.

A caretaker has been sent in by the company’s Egyptian owners and suppliers have been called to a meeting on Jan 25.
