Paul Temple fights off NFU election challenge

Paul Temple has been re-elected as vice-president of the NFU.

Mr Temple, a tenant farmer from East Yorkshire, beat off challenges from three other farmers to win the election on a first ballot.

This means that the union’s officeholder team remains unchanged.

Peter Kendall and Meurig Raymond were both unopposed so will stay on as president and deputy president respectively.
