YOUR FARMING PHOTO COULD WIN A £100 PRIZE

Yes, it’s the time of the year for the Farmers Weekly Photo Competition. As ever, there are six categories – livestock scenes, arable scenes, general farm activities, humour, children and nature.


HOW DO WE GET THE PICTURES TO YOU?



    (1) Post them
    Send up to five prints to FW Photo Competition, Farmers Weekly, Quadrant House, the Quadrant, Sutton, Surrey SM2 5AS. Please write your name, address and phone number on the back of every photo and send an SAE for return of the photos.
    (2) Email them
    Email up to five digital images. Please put your name and a phone number in the email so we can contact you. A bit of info on who’s in the picture and what’s going on would be good too. .
    Digital pictures need to be a reasonable size for us to be able to print them so file sizes should ideally be between 200KB and 5MB. If you’re in doubt, set the camera to its highest picture dimension and quality settings. Bear in mind that they could take a while to send if you’re on dial-up internet (as opposed to broadband).    
    (3) Upload them to our website
    Upload them to the FWi picture gallery website. There will be instructions there on how to put them on. There will also be a chance to judge the six finalists to find a winner of winners.

The winner of each of the six categories will get a cheque for £100. We will also be giving away three digital photo frames for photos that particularly impress the judges.
The winning photos will be published in FW and on FWi over the Christmas/New Year period.
Open to amateur photographers only.

The competition has been so popular that the fwphotocomp@rbi.co.uk inbox filled up completely last Saturday evening and refused to accept any more pictures.
So anything emailed to us between 8.15pm on Saturday 17 November and 8am on Monday 19 November won’t have reached us.  
If you did send pictures between those times, please would you resend them?Sorry!
