Nominate a neighbour for Farmers Weekly awards

Do you know a great farmer who deserves recognition for the way they have developed their farm business?
Is there a friend, colleague or employee who you admire for their technical expertise and management skills?
Have you got an adviser who has brought real value to your business and deserves to have their achievements celebrated?
Do you work for a great employer who knows how to attract and retain the brightest and best in the industry?
Time to put them forward for the Farmers Weekly Awards 2014.
The awards are a great way to give others a pat on the back and celebrate all that is good in the farming industry.
Just making that nomination is a way of saying you recognise their efforts and saying thank you to a fellow farmer, worker or adviser.

There are 15 categories to choose from so there is something for everybody. We even have two new categories this year – Farm Employer of the Year and Sustainable Farmer of the Year.
Every farmer or business who is nominated will be contacted by the Farmers Weekly team and invited to submit a full entry which sets out the detail of the development of their business.
We are looking for farmers from all parts of the UK who can demonstrate technical and business excellence – whatever the enterprise.
The entries that will stand out will be from the people who can paint us a picture of how their business has grown.

Judges will be looking for evidence of how people are applying themselves to the challenges of both today and tomorrow and can demonstrate how they are running profitable, sustainable businesses with a bright future.
For those who go on to win at the awards ceremony in October, the benefits can be far-reaching for their businesses and their careers.
