Cereals 2019: Sky releases new Easy Drill coulter range

A new coulter assembly has been added to Sky’s Easy Drill range, which the company reckons will help place seed more accurately and improve the flow of crop residue to prevent blockages.

Key features include a straight seed tube for more accurate placement, tungsten-faced moulded skim coulters and maintenance-free hubs that don’t require greasing.

Fewer wearing parts will help to slash the cost of ownership, says UK importer Opico, while the design tweak means a high-strength central steel support will encourage trash to flow past the coulter without becoming snagged.

The new layout has also reduced the number of moving components, which should save on maintenance in the long term.
