Tecnoma launches Xenis mounted sprayer
Another firm to make the most of the SIMA show was Tecnoma, which launched its new mid-sized mounted sprayer to replace the outgoing TX range.
The newbie – the Xenis – nestles neatly between the small Premis and top-spec Maxis sprayers in the French firm’s line-up.
Tank sizes extend from 800 to 1,500-litres and booms from 12m up to 21m. There are plenty of opportunites to add fancier features, too. As well as the choice of rear or lateral folding booms, buyers can also go for a quick-hitch system (it’s standard on the biggest tank capacity), add a dry sight gauge and hydraulic tilting booms.
The 15-litre induction hopper is also on the options list but is likely to be a must-have in the UK. The complexity of controls range from an in-cab joystick that is only able to control boom sections on/off and adjust pressure, up to the all singing, all dancing Tectonic console.
A Xenis with 21m hydraulic boom weighs about 1,250kg and prices start from £6,000 for the smallest.
