Rural debate for rural people

FARMERS AND other members of the rural community in Gloucs will get the chance to voice their concerns during a pre-election ‘Question Time‘ style debate during a forum on rural issues.
The debate will be held at the University of Gloucestershire‘s Oxstalls Campus on Tue (Apr 26) and offers an ideal opportunity for the county‘s residents to hear the differences in rural policies between the main parties.
The debate will be chaired by Ian Mean, editor of the Gloucs Citizen newspaper with Bill Slee, Professor of rural economy from the university introducing the key issues.
On the panel will be:
• David Drew, the Labour candidate for Stroud.
• Laurence Robertson, the Conservative candidate for Tewkesbury.
• Alistair Cameron, the Liberal Democrat candidate for Tewkesbury.
• Stephen Tweedie, the Green candidate for the Forest of Dean.
