Elderly farmer devastated after favourite tractor is stolen

An elderly farmer has been left devastated after his favourite Fergie tractor was stolen just months after his wife passed away.

Grandson John Fisher shared a photo of the little grey Ferguson on Facebook, pleading with people to help find the missing classic.

“After losing my grandmother three months ago – they were married for 68 years – some low-life scum has broken into my grandfather’s storage yard and stolen his tractor and transport trailer,” John explained.

The tractor was taken from the Uppingham area of Rutland in the East Midlands between the evening of Saturday 15 September and the following morning.

“It’s a 1956 Ferguson TEF Tractor (registration number OFU 931 – chassis number TEF479186). Let’s make this tractor too hot to handle and hopefully reunite my grandad with the second love of his life,” John added.

The farming community has rallied to help the family find their treasured tractor, with more than 100,000 shares on Facebook so far.
