Farmers Apprentice episode 3 – watch online now

Hundreds of people have tuned in to watch our 10 apprentices get stuck into their third day of tasks at the Farmers Apprentice bootcamp.

During task one they had to apply cutting-edge mobile technology to the farm by designing a brand new mobile app, which would help farmers in any aspect of their business.

In task two, they had to prove they had the practical skills, by completing a four-part farming assault course, including mastering a top-of-the-range GPS tractor and herding sheep into a mobile sheep pen.

For the first time since the series began, the judges shook things up by assigning a team leader for each task – someone they wanted to see step up in a leadership role.

“Day 3 at bootcamp was fantastic, and made the best episode yet,” said George Brown, one of the 10 finalists taking part in the competition.The five-part series follows 10 farming hopefuls at bootcamp as they compete for a £10,000 prize to kick-start their career in agriculture.All the tasks they encounter reflect real-life farming challenges, from handling livestock and using GPS technology, to navigating a top-of-the range tractor and presenting a business pitch to a panel of high-profile judges.
