Photo of the Week: Stunning shot captures newborn calf

This week’s Photo of the Week is an absolute stunner of a shot, sent in by Amy Cropper.

It shows a freshly born Blackmount Luing calf on the privately owned estate she works at with her partner in the Scottish Highlands.

Amy clearly has a talent with the camera as well as cattle, as she has had her photos featured as Photo of the Week before.

Amy said: “We are calving 70-ish Luings, all outdoors 24/7. It’s definitely been a tougher year for it with all the rain, but the calves are all healthy and happy so far.

“[I] took the photo because it makes all the hard work worthwhile when you get too see new life being born.” 

Amy has definitely done the special moment justice.
