Rsabi to champion farmer wellbeing at Royal Highland Show

Rsabi, the charity devoted to supporting people in Scottish agriculture, is gearing up for a meaningful presence at this year’s Royal Highland Show, taking place from 19-22 June.
With health, wellbeing, and inclusivity at the heart of its offering, Rsabi’s stand will feature a vibrant programme designed to inform, engage and connect visitors from across the farming community.
Located beside the Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs (SAYFC) building near the Members’ Pavilion, the Rsabi stand will again host the popular Health Hut, offering free, confidential health checks from nurses and doctors.

Last year, more than 230 showgoers had their blood pressure tested, with many receiving early indicators prompting vital GP follow-up.
“Our Health Hut was a huge success last year, and we’re thrilled to bring it back,” said Rsabi chief executive Carol McLaren.
“We know how important it is to create space for positive conversations, and the show offers a perfect platform for that.”
Visitors will also be encouraged to complete Rsabi’s anonymous mental health survey, building on the 280 responses received in 2024.
Welfare team members, including suicide prevention lead Josie Barclay, will be on hand to discuss mental health support and highlight Rsabi’s 24/7 confidential services.
A key theme this year is inclusivity, promoted through the Respect campaign in partnership with SAYFC.
“We’re focusing on healthy relationships, kindness and positive role modelling,” said McLaren.
“It’s about creating safe, welcoming spaces for everyone in agriculture.”
Rsabi will also spotlight farm safety through its #UseYourHead quad bike helmet campaign, with ambassadors such as Arran farmer Callum Lindsay, who survived a serious accident in 2024, sharing their stories.
A reception for Great Scone Palace Challenge teams will be held on Friday 20 June, celebrating community spirit and fundraising efforts.
