Kids get chance to meet Tractor Ted at Bowood
Fans of Tractor Ted will soon get the chance to meet him at Bowood in Wiltshire.
Tractor Ted’s “Little Farm” at the country estate will open on 20 March, bringing to life many of the stories told by the popular kids’ character.
Children will be able to meet friendly farm animals, see chicks hatch, enjoy farm games and watch Ted’s real action films.
Outside they will be able to ride around the mini-tractor track, play ball-scooping in the mini-digger den and, on special occasions, even see big, modern farm machines such as combine harvesters, forage harvesters, balers and ploughs. There is a café beside the farm for parents to relax in.
The Little Farm will have a calendar of changing activities and events including Big Machine Days in the summer, “guest” animals and seasonal fun such as treasure hunts and quizzes. Access is included in the entry price for Bowood House & Gardens.
Young Farmers Weekly readers who enjoy Tractor Ted, a character who engages youngsters with the fun of the countryside and helps them understand where food comes from, can read about his adventures monthly in the Farmlife section of the magazine.
