Lord Rooker elected RABDF president

Jeff Rooker has been elected president of the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers (RABDF).
Lord Rooker, the former DEFRA food and farming secretary, will replace Baroness Hazel Byford at the Association’s AGM in June 2009.
The straight-talking Brummie earned great respect in the farming community while he was in government for his no-nonsense attitude on subjects like bovine TB.
Chief executive Nick Everington announced that he was delighted that Jeff Rooker would be supporting RABDF. He said that Lord Rooker’s enthusiasm for farming would benefit all farming businesses.
