Ishbel has tremendous performance figures and a Terminal Index of +36 (top 1% of Breed) and a Self Replacing Index of +41 (top 3% of the Breed). Mr. Birch and Mr Brindley are planning to show the heifer at the Hereford National Calf Show held at Shrewsbury Market on 10 December and to flush her in the spring before a full Show season in 2012.

Robert Wilson of Romany Herefords said after the sale he was disappointed not to retain the heifer but was delighted she was going to such well regarded families with a great history in the Simmental and British Blue breeds respectively.

“Ishbel is an outstanding heifer with tremendous style, growth and length coupled with femininity” Robert said. “I think she will be a really good female to start a herd with and we wish the Birch & Brindley families all the very best with her”. Mr Brindley also commented “We are very excited about our new purchase” and he revealed that the Wilsons’ have retained a small embryo interest in the heifer.
