Angus bulls selling steady

Angus bulls are failing to set the pace today, with trade running at a steady pace for the last 10 lots. Since the champion lots the only other highlights have been Blelack Rubbins from neil massie selling for 4000gns to Terry Coghill and another from the Massie’s Blelack Jury Eric (lot 49) for 3000gns.

Messrs Gilmour have sold Belhaven Black Boy (lot 69) for 2500gns, while Messrs Marsh sold Bardrain Eiger for 2200gns. This bull is homebred on both sides.

We’re nearing completition so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for something flash!

The first prize bull Cairnton Carlose Bandito by blelack Evergreat out of a Cairnton cow has gone at 4000gns.

I think that will be about it for Blacks today i’m afraid – it’s nearly as depressing as the weather – that’s chucking it down!!! I guess the only saving grace from today will be that the photographers haven’t had to spend much time outside on the board!
